Take a peek inside the stories of Faith Community.

Our Heart

It's hard to really understand the soul of an organization, like a church, at a distance. You're probably browsing through our website curious to find out what Faith Community is all about, and perhaps catch a glimpse of who we really are.

In as much as it can be put into words, our heart is to see God's transformative power work through the people of this church in such a way that their love and their lives prosper our entire city and county.

If you're seeking to explore who Jesus is, we would love to introduce you to Him and the abundant life He offers. If you're a believer looking for a church that isn't about itself but about introducing our community to the transforming love of Jesus, come and see what we're about.

May God bless your search for a community of faith.

Our Shared Beliefs

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,[Genesis 1:26] the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.[Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 19; John 14:13; 14; Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:16]

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.[ John 1:1-14; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-10; 4:14]

Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation[Romans 3:10-18, 23; Romans 6:23; Titus 3:5] he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.[Matthew 24:1-51; 25:41; John 14:1-13; 1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18]

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.[John 3:3-7; 16:8-14; Romans 8:26; Acts 2:28-29; Ephesians 5:18] With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.[2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21]

We believe in one holy catholic[That is, “universal.”] and apostolic Church.[Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:1-15] We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.[In addition to baptism by immersion (Romans 6:3; Acts 22:16) we believe Jesus also ordained the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 10:16-17; 11:23-24) as an ordinance of the church.] We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
