I thought I would change things up a bit this week. I've been posting a lot about the many things I learned during a season of burnt and a much needed extended sabbatical. Essentially I've been openly admitting that I'm in recovery - Control Freak Recovery. It's a day by day journey just like any road of healing. But this week I want to talk about something else. I want to invest a few posts exploring what we, in North American church culture, have defined as "success" in our churches and ministries. I want to start by sharing the following blog post with you entitled "Are we on the brink of a new reformation" and ask you to read it and then share your thoughts. I'm so glad that other voices are beginning to question some of our long held assumptions about church "success." What do you think? Agree with the sentiments of the article? Disagree? Why or why not?
