One of my favorite descriptions of Jesus was provided to us by his dear friend John who wrote: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1: 14If you've lived a little, I have to believe that in your lifetime you've experienced "truth" at the expense of grace, and "grace" at the expense of truth, but not very often have you experienced the fullness of grace and truth in perfect harmony. Jesus has come to reveal God's glory to us, and to pour out God's love to us in a perfect harmony of grace and truth. His grace is never at the expense truth, and His truth never reduces any of the grace that we so desperately need.As you celebrate Christmas, celebrate "the One and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
